To the last place on earth

Barcelona, Spain

The home of Gaudí architecture (definitely not gaudy), this place was something of a mecca for me, given my early background in architecture. Nonetheless, this city took a while to grow on me, and I ended up visiting it three times in as many months, though each visit presented its triumphs and trials.

Tibiwot?

On my last visit to Barcelona, it was all Gaudí. On this one, I’ve stretched out beyond those attractions to take in a few things from well before Gaudí’s time.

istockalypse

In a happy coincidence, I’m able to be in Barcelona at the same time istockalypse will be running.

Park Güell

I’m off to the first of what will hopefully be many interviews whilst here. This one is in Barcelona, which gives me an added bonus: Gaudí. Buildings that look like they’re living, organic creations, the gothic masterpiece of La Sagrada Familia and the strange, fantastical wonderland of Park Güell.
